A friend of mine had given me this tea because she had been given a huge container of it and thought I'd want to try it too. The description was enough to make me curious. Azteca Fire from Teavana is an herbal blend. According to Teavana's website it contains crushed cocoa, apple, strawberry, chocolate, safflower petals, and crushed chili pods. (NOTE: This tea does contain milk so avoid if you have dairy allergies. OK, in my opinion, avoid anyway...)

The liquor was very pale. Again, it's a tisane not a true tea so the coloring was not unexpected. The aroma continued to be strongly of cocoa. Then I took my first sip..
The first sip confirmed the cocoa. It tasted like a really watery hot chocolate...For a minute. Sip two suddenly brought in the spiciness of the chili. By sip three all I could taste was the chili. It was overpowering and eliminated any sense of other flavors. Sip four was the same so I tried adding a little raw sugar. Sip five led me to dump the whole thing in the sink.
I definitely can't recommend this tea. Sorry folks. We'll try again next time.
